It took one accidental shove and a falling pitcher of orange juice on his twenty-sixth birthday for Jason Todd to finally soul bond with a person.
Everything seemed brighter, clearer whenever you were around. Only, there were three massive problems.
One, you were his student for the semester. Add the fact that you were now roommates with Damian, which conplicated things a lot.
Two, being apart causes actual physical side effects. Any plans involving ignoring each other was not going to work.
Three, was the existence of a certain Conner Luthor-Kent in your life.
So the only logical thing to do was wait while finding a way to break the bond, right?

Uncoincidentally, his family gets interested in the tea shop and plagues Jason with their existence both mask-on and mask-off.
Coincidentally, said tea shop owner has the biggest crush on Red Hood.
