Summary
This is a "what if" Rolan had a romance route scenario.
It's some shenanigans, a date, and then some horny nasty with a hopeful ending. He's down so bad, he has so many feelings, and eventually, he concludes that he likes you, (Tav) because you're stupid and annoying. He wants a little of your audacity for himself. To want someone like this is brand new to him. He's a proud, self-important dumbass and so are you! Realizing this doesn't suddenly make you any less frustrating of a person. If anything he's annoyed with himself once realizing he's horns deep, too far gone to turn back. Utterly, atrociously enthralled by you.
“I don’t need you.” He forces through gritted teeth even as his balls threaten to detach from his body in favor of finding someone more deserving of his manhood.
“But you want me.” Confidence oozes from you, pungent and lustrously obnoxious. The expression fits you so well that he hates you for it. Your eyebrows raise, daring him to say otherwise. At that exact moment, Rolan manages to leech off of your tenacity just enough that he's able to shed the last of his hateful perseverance.

- "Can I touch your tail?" She finished boldly. Rolan eyed her a moment, and swallowed thickly, his brain swirling with a million thoughts and his hands starting to tremble. He crossed his arms and tried to seem nonchalant about the entire situation and realized he was failing miserably.
"Sure. Yes. You may." He uttered, hoping his voice didn't waver.
Tav reached back out, hand tentative but confident and placed her palm again on the flesh of his tail where it rested on her leg.
The sensation was like a blaze of fire through his already burning hot veins. He bit down on his tongue, hard, to avoid another offending shiver and felt his eyelids flutter, betrayal of his own self control. -Tav finally goes to visit Rolan in his new tower after a hard couple weeks of cleanup. Rolan is so delighted to see her and pent up with frustration and feelings that the lightest of touches is enough to make him lose all sense of himself.

He looks down at her and it's kind of too much, the wine and the emotions of the day coming down on her all at once, and there's something there in the depths of his eyes that's knocking on a door she keeps shut inside. So she buries her face against his upper chest and rests her cheek against him. She can feel his breath against her hair and she can smell his clean, masculine scent and feel the texture of his clean-shaven jawline if she moves her head just so.
His arms tighten around her and she feels like this is the physical manifestation of how they make each other feel safe, the way they'd talked about the night after she'd stitched him up. The way they fit perfectly together, balancing each other as they lean into one another and just hold on through the song.
