“You’ve gotta be fuckin’ kidding me,” Katsuki said. “You did not just ask me—me—to try and date your loser step-brother.”
He wasn’t even going to say Deku’s name out loud. Wasn’t giving him the time of day, even in a conversation about him. That weird awkward virgin was not worth his precious time, and certainly not what Kirishima was suggesting.
“But Bakugouuu,” Kirishima wailed, hanging off Katsuki’s arm with monster meathead jock strength. “My dad said I can’t date if Deku doesn’t date. Do you understand what that means?”
“Less chance of knocking someone up and creating more of you in the world?”

Summary
Izuku doesn’t reciprocate- if he did, then he wouldn’t have rejected Katsuki’s outstretched hand. And that was alright- some people just moved on. And why shouldn’t he? They’ve been doing this same song and dance for over two decades- since before their quirks came in. Izuku should have the right to pull away if he’s finally lost the beat.
Katsuki will just dance alone. And that’s ok. He’s strangely ok with this- at peace. Perhaps it’s because he’s expected this for years. That at some point he’s going to wake up one of these mornings spitting flower petals. He’s just always hoped no one would be around.

It's Katsuki's birthday, so Izuku takes him mountain climbing to celebrate. What he didn't foresee was getting injured halfway through the climb, and having to hide the injury from Katsuki for the remainder of the day so he doesn't ruin his birthday.

Izuku blinks. Relief floods his features, and there we go, Katsuki missed that smooth, eased little expression. “Oh,” he breathes, then his face twists up all over again — goddamnit. “Wait, like ever?”
Embarrassment swallows Katsuki’s composure whole. “We’re not having sex right now! In this very moment, we are not having sex!”
