Miyamura has nine piercings. Four in each ear, and one on his lip. It’s easy to tell how he’s feeling based on what he’s wearing. If he’s wearing all nine piercings, he’s feeling lonely and likely depressed. If he’s not wearing any, he’s feeling happy. If he’s wearing less than half, he likely just wanted to wear them again. More than half? He needs to be checked on.
Hori had developed this system early on in knowing him. But, she felt bad about it honestly. He had these scars from his past that he could only make use of when he felt terrible? And she knew he wouldn’t let them just grow back; despite them being associated with negativity in his life, he did really like how they look. So, maybe the solution is to instead associate them with positivity? How would that even work?

Sarah Miller died on September 26th, 2003, at 11:59pm. The last thing she saw was her father's face and a world around them that was burning.
