“That’s a pretty color.” Alice blurted out before she realised. Melly paused in her movement of applying her lipstick. Alice felt her face burn. Was that a weird thing to say? She wondered while embarrassment creeped on her back.
Melly’s next words, however, caught her off guard, “Would you like to try it?” Alice looked up in surprise. Melly had turned around and was watching Alice with the lipstick still in her hold.
Alice swallowed.

Melly turns her head to look at her sleeping lover, her blonde hair loose and messy, framing her face. She reached out to brush it away from Alice’s face and tuck it behind her ear.
