Summary
Sky, of the Engineering faculty, former Moon and current bachelor of the university, would celebrate his twenty-second birthday in three days' time.
Jao was of the lowest social ranking at his university, and as the party was invite-only, he was under no illusions that he and would friends would somehow make the cut. Sky’s party would be just as elite and unattainable as he, brighter than the sun that dripped from his fingertips, yet not as desirable as his glaringly good looks.
Or, at least, that’s what Jao had heard. He’d only caught glimpse of Sky once, nearly a year ago at a basketball game.
But yet he knew: if Sky was a prince, then surely Jao was a commoner.

“P’Kit--”
“It’s really scary,” Kit held on. His shoulders shook, just once. “So I thought you were cutting me out of your life, too.”
“P’Kit, what do you mean ‘too’?” Mark said.

“I’m not short,” Zon says, jabbing his pointer finger into his boyfriend’s chest. Saifah leans forward so he’s closer to Zon’s eyes, and says,
“You’re just tall.”
“-- you’re just tall,” Zon finishes and immediately flushes. Saifah’s heard it a million times now. He grins and drops a light kiss to Zon’s forehead.
In the months they’ve dated, Saifah’s kept his enthusiasm for their height difference a secret, only quietly thrilling in tippy-toe kisses, oversized clothing, and tall shelves. It's never occurred to him that maybe Zon isn't as pleased about it as he is.
