Summary
In a world where soulmates can feel each other’s heartbeat, especially when emotions spike after their first meeting and if they’re 25 meters from each other, Kiyoomi experiences it for the first time during a middle school nationals match. It isn’t soft or romantic, or the fireworks-inducing feeling shown in the books and movies. What traversed through his veins was pure, unadulterated irritation and grit to win. Surrounded by a multitude of players around Japan eager to win, he has no idea which one of them is tied to him…Not until training camp.
Every argument, every hurried and hidden glance, sets his heart racing in synchronization with another’s. By then, Kiyoomi already knows. Deep down in his bones, he knows. He just refuses to admit it. And maybe, he never will.
