Meghan had asked Diane about it once, walking with her and Matt to the auditorium.
“It’s just not the same thing, Meghan. It’s fine enough to be friends with Nadia, but - who’s going to want to kiss her?” Diane giggled to herself.
“Oh, and who’s gonna wanna kiss Jason, then?” Meghan’s voice came out harsh enough to startle even herself, and Diane turned red, stammering incoherently before fleeing into the safety of the auditorium. Meghan crossed her arms across her stomach and Matt looked up at her reproachfully.
