In SilverQuil, rank is everything. The pack is filled with traditionalist wolves who hold tight to pack hierarchy - Alphas at the top with Betas second in rank and Omegas holding little to no power. Alphas, of course, hold the most power as the protectors of the pack. They are the hunters, the patrollers, and the homes of unmated Alphas are located around the perimeter of the clearing they live in. Betas are a step-down, making up most of the cooks and healers. Meanwhile, the Omegas are mainly in charge of cleaning, gardening, and caring for the pups all while having no vote on pack matters.
Jihoon hates it.

Shota sneers at the teenager across from him. His defense raises like the hairs on the back of his neck as he glares steadily, ready and waiting for whatever will come from this encounter. He narrows his gaze when the teen shifts; just the thought of sharing this rooftop with Japan's most notorious villain makes his skin prickle. “Deku.”
“Y-yes!” the teenager cries out in relief, taking a small step towards Shota, “I’m Deku! I’m so g-glad you—”
“Deku,” Shota growls darkly, flicking out his capture weapon hastily to snag the villain before he can make his move. He's quick to tug it taut, leaving no room for Deku to escape. “You’re under arrest.”
“I-I’m what?! W-wait!”

In the middle of an absurdly cold winter day in 1950, that’s the day they got married.
‘Married’ is perhaps a bit of an embellishment. Kwon Soonyoung and Lee Jihoon were only married on paper, and otherwise, they didn’t even know each other. They didn’t. Now, standing face to face in the court to settle a divorce, they had finally seen each other’s face for the first time in three years. It’s an autumn afternoon in 1953, and Soonyoung decides that this is the day his misery will end.
_____It's 1953, and Korea is plunged in a torrent of misery and economic crisis following the Korean War. Everyone has different coping methods, and Lee Jihoon's method is Kwon Soonyoung. The question is, will it last?
