Cross followed Killer throughout the base. He swore, he's been seeing the same boring, nothing hallways for the past hour. With only MILD observations and ways to identify where he even was. He wondered how Killer, or any of the Darks really, got around. Maybe it would stick after enough time?
He just knew he was already sick of this. Then, they finally looped back around to Horror's room, the scribbles feeling like an old friend after so long.
Was his room here?
The thought of having to explore the other half of the castle filled him with dread...
(AKA: cross is just trying to survive this godforsaken castle, and killer makes it somewhat bearable.)

Cross’s jaw tightened. A million scenarios playing out in his head like a movie if he accepted this offer. It could either go out bad, worse, or humiliating. Cross didn’t know what to do. What if Killer was just playing with him? This guy cannot be trusted, Cross witnessed how erratic he is, annoying, everything ever since he was taken into Nightmare’s hold.
“...” Cross relaxed his jaw. “If this turns out to be just a joke, you're dead.” Cross mumbled, hesitantly taking Killer’s hand, palm resting over his.
Killer smirked, adjusting their hands so their palms were pressed against each other, phalanges tangled. “Now how could I make a joke out of this in a slow dance?” He asked teasingly.

Summary
Killer impulsively convinces Cross to take a “vacation” to the coast for a weekend, on the condition that they don’t overspend. At first Killer’s fantasies of staying with Cross in a dingy motel and the warm ocean air become reality. But after increasing tension and lies, everything strains and their last day ends badly.
