Summary
The slow glide of a kitchen knife against the underbelly of a salmon, as it intricately removes the extra fatty flesh, has always been one of your favorite sights. Filleted over a nice, even grill and dressed in a touch of salt, pepper, and freshly squeezed Lisbon lemons. For some it would be considered too simple. Incredibly arbitrary for a being who's studied their whole life beside a set of blades and a bowl of unkneaded dough.
But it's the simplicity of cooking that you enjoy. The freedom to crave, make, and thrive. No lists, no stress. Just you and the kitchen around you. It’s why you quit your cushiony upscale job in a fancy restaurant, hightailing it down south with nothing but your rickety old truck and your handy set of skills.
It's here that you get yourself acquainted with a few scruffy mercs, who may just be a little too eager to spice up their own lives as well.
