Summary
What they don’t tell them– is that Earth didn’t die. Man dug his fingers into the wealth of her soil, unrooted her, set fire to the veins that ran through her fields until nothing had remained. They drenched her in gasoline, polluted channels of life– unplucked the springtime blooms, thawed the snowy hillocks of winter. Man clawed up her sediment with dirt beneath his nails, taking what he could find in his desperation– in his desire for something better. One day, he’d realized there was nothing left to take: and yet he was the same man he’d been the day prior. Always was. Always would be.
The Earth didn’t die, no. Man had killed her, and for so little.
