Summary
Five years ago, Kim Namjoon--a high school junior--was kidnapped heading home. Amidst the blood and fire of nearly a hundred dead, he is found again, weathered, scarred, and mated. Kim Seokjin, a police detective, is tasked with overseeing his recovery and obtaining information regarding his boss, abductor, and mate--the infamous young wolf, Jeon Jeongguk.
Seokjin is to facilitate his recuperation and encourage his trust, is directed to befriend him and extract plans, places, names; he was never instructed to fall in love with a broken boy.
But Jeongguk is still out there: clawing his way into the police department, searching for his mate and intent on decimating those who tore him away.

There is a struggle as Yoongi unbuttons his jacket, shrugging off the rich fabric and nearly ripping off those of his vest in his hurry to unfasten them. The weight of Namjoon's gaze feels as if a physical thing, and the difference to being in front of him, not hidden away in his bedroom, seeing him as opposed to standing in front of a camera, has his head dizzy, heat pooling in his gut.
Namjoon raises a hand, as if to reach out to cup Yoongi's wrist, and despite what he said, what he made Namjoon promise, the prospect of being touched by him has Yoongi tingling in excitement.
