“You've been calling in sick a lot lately,” he continues. “You've been tired, and you've had all these headaches... Are you sure you're okay? I could take you to the doctor tomorrow.”
“I'm okay, Makoto,” she assures him. Her smile breaks for just a second, and when it returns it's clear that she's trying to fight it back. Her hand runs in a gentle circle around her belly. “I think... something changed for the better.”
It's only then that he realizes she's not clutching at her stomach in pain. She's holding it protectively.

Summary
A friend once told her that a crush is just a lack of information: a superficial attraction resulting from not fully knowing who they really are and only seeing them through rose-colored glasses of fantasies and butterflies.
And so in order to get over a crush, you need to get close to them, look past the idealized version of them in your head, and unravel the flaws beneath their seemingly perfect persona. Only then will you be able to wake up from the fantasy that your crush is not the person you wanted them to be and be with.
Unfortunately, for Yukari, getting to know Makoto only pushed her closer to the edge; and she found herself already free-falling at a perfect acceleration. Because gravity, she learned, didn’t ask for permission.
Neither did love.

These can be read as the dreams of a severely depressed Yukari Takeba as she struggles with a relapse in grief in the context of my other work "Her Own Personal Abyss" if you desire to hurt yourself in such a way.
But the content held within is fluffy sweet goodness.
