“Do you like it?"
The simplest question to everything. A yes or no, asked over and over. Do you like Exy? Do you like yourself? Do you like the language that you should have learned in school in a country you were ripped from? Neil and Andrew, last December, bent over him on the couch asking him do you like us?
Kevin hums, a rising note of both confirmation and avoidance, different to how it was as a kid with that tilted accent.
*
alternatively; Kevin Day’s horrible no-good very bad attempt at learning Gaeilge in the fucking USA.

Summary
Jean Moreau is pretty sure he's made himself clear: He does not like his new captain, or the baggage that comes with him: a rehearsed smile, a voice that never shuts up, and eyes that always seem to be looking for Kevin Day. Jeremy Knox is definitely getting on his nerves.
Jeremy Knox has never been good at reading signals, especially when they come with a pretty face, a French accent, and flirting disguised as sarcasm. Jean Moreau is definitely hitting on him.
Jean gets annoyed. Jeremy pushes harder. Jean loves silence. Jeremy talks way too much. Jean rolls his eyes every time Jeremy shows up. Jeremy finds it adorable. Jean tries to keep his distance. Jeremy keeps closing it.
They’re not on the same page.
Hell, they’re not even in the same book.Bookmarked by palyaco0o
