That’s isn’t right. Is not even fair. Al-Haitham may be right. He’s just a genius wasting his oh so glorious potential on guilt and self-loathing. Nothing more than that. Is not like he can change that. That’s simple how he is and how he will ever be.
But selfish?
Did he spent all those sleepless nights, working on some project that were not his, all that time he spent doing researching just to help somebody that wasn’t even his friend, just to make up for his own fragile emotions? Only for, a fracture of time, Kaveh feel himself being worthy for something?
Maybe, just a tiny little part of Kaveh’s mind said, he's right after all.
