The words that followed out of his mouth were mostly muffled but she caught the ‘British’ and the ‘brat’. After a moment of this he sighed and demanded, “I’ll pay you double if you take care of it today.”
Rey flinched, and the irritation grew until it was gnawing at the lining of her stomach. “That’s awfully generous of you, but that will only be helpful in the short run. I’ve got more obligations today. Your car will have to wait until tomorrow.”
“I’ll pay you triple.”
Rey sighed heavily. “Unless you want to pay for my rent for the next five months as well as pay for four years of tuition for the college of my choice, you’ll just have to wait until tomorrow. Goodbye Mr. Ren.”
