His nails are digging into his palms so harshly that blood, her blood made his, drips towards the floor before being sucked into the burning ray of raw magic between the markings on his back and its match engraved into the stone floor. It goes through him. She cannot imagine the agony.
And then she's blocking the connection and imagination is no longer necessary
