Summary
The stranger rolled in his slumber, mouth semi-open and a weird smile on his face that Chuuya had never seen on him before. It made him look somewhat younger, and softer, with the way the sand was dusting his face and his wet hair was clinging to his skin. He reached his hand out, moving a strand away. The guy' smile widened and he leaned into the touch like a pet fish would. It was endearing, he thought, bowing down until their noses almost touched. Without thinking, he inhaled deeply: the human smelled of salt, like the ocean, like Chuuya's home.
When he opened his eyes again, the man was blinking up at him, still clearly lost.
Startled, Chuuya jumped and dived back into the water, swimming swiftly back home, hoping the guy would think he had been hallucinating all along.
Chuuya couldn't avoid the feeling that he was somehow still going to get fucked big time by his good deed.
(Or, when merman!Chuuya saves Dazai's ass from drowning, he can't know how much both their lives will change.)

“Bound?” Varka echoes, intelligently.
“Indeed.” Flins’s eyes of molten gold feel like a physical weight on him. “Forgive my bluntness, but I sense some confusion on your part. Perhaps you desired a human marriage?”
“Marriage?”
In which Varka gets married to Flins. Unbeknownst to Varka himself.
