Summary
The aviary could have been a peaceful place. A sanctuary for all. A village with love and respect and justice. But most importantly: it could have been a home. Everybody was convinced it was. Perhaps peace is a fairytale prospect. A lie. It didn’t take long for the bird folk of the plateau to watch their world crumble and burn. Their lives flashed before their eyes, their final memories nothing but bitter suffering. And four young children failed to realize that they’d have to be the saviors at the end of their story. Otherwise, it would be the end of birdkind as they once knew it.
