Summary
Chu Wanning has suffered many indignities in his life.
This one is not the most painful. It may also not be the most egregious. Initially, he didn’t even see it as that bad. But it is definitely somewhere along the lines of being the worst.
Mo Ran takes his leave, politely rejecting the girl one last time. He steps back out into the bustling streets and Chu Wanning huffs in satisfaction. But he quickly realizes something.
Without Chu Wanning’s stoic, icy presence beside him, people are a lot more open about flirting with Mo Ran. They try when Chu Wanning is around too, albeit in a more subtle way. But now that he’s a cat and he’s unable to loom threateningly by Mo Ran’s side, they’re absolutely shameless.

“If I understand your request correctly,” Zhongli begins, “you wish to amend our previous contract.”
And just like anyone who hears the word ‘contract’ out of the God of Contracts’ mouth does, Xiao winces just a little. “If you are amenable to it,” he says.
Zhongli smiles. “Don’t look so cornered, Xiao. I simply want to make sure I understand what you’re asking for. You have in no way broken our contract.” When Xiao’s face relaxes, he continues. “You wish for us to meet outside of my heats. You wish for us to mate at other times.”

Summary
Childe’s eyes heat. A rakish smile pulls at his lips. “You know,” he says casually after Xiangling has left their table heavy-laden with food. “I never thought I’d be less horny than my partner.”
A flush creeps across Zhongli’s face. Childe is insatiable, yes, but even his appetites pale in comparison to Zhongli’s now that they are together. Childe barely has the chance to initiate because Zhongli hungers for him with such overwhelming ferocity. “Forgive me,” he says, not for the first time.
“There’s nothing to forgive.” Childe tips his head to the side, exposing the long line of his throat, and it takes all of Zhongli’s self-control not to reach across the table and rake his fangs down Childe’s skin.
Zhongli desires Childe so desperately they have sex in the alley behind Wanmin Restaurant.

Summary
For weeks now, Zhongli has occupied Childe’s thoughts. He’s nearly reached for Zhongli so many times, has almost made an overture that can’t be ignored, but he’s held himself back. He’s not an idiot; he knows not to mix business and pleasure. Zhongli is working with him, with the Fatui, and getting involved… Not smart.
But his thoughts are fuzzy, and everything is so warm and good. He feels good, and doing something that feels good isn’t stupid.
His fingertips brush against Zhongli’s.
After a night of drinking with Zhongli, Childe makes an impulsive decision.
