When Shane can't play a game against Boston because he is extremely sick, he feels miserable, especially after his team loses. A few days before the game he asked Ilya to come over but now he is afraid he only wants to rub his victory in his face. When Ilya eventually comes over Shane is surprised by his caring behaviour.

“Have you eaten anything today?”, Ilya asked, grabbing his hand and pulling him closer. Shane wasn’t used to this caring Ilya.
“No…Didn’t have the energy to”, Shane answered honestly.
“Number one fault, not eating. You should eat. I’ll make you something”, Ilya offered.
“You don’t have to, I mean it’s probably better if you go. Like I said I don’t want to make you sick and-”, Shane tried to say but Ilya stopped him.
“I’m not scared of getting sick. If you really want me to go, I’ll go and if you want me to stay I’ll stay”, Ilya replied, taking both of Shane’s hands in this.
The truth was that Shane didn’t want Ilya to go. He wanted him to stay and make food for him, just like this time when he made the tuna melts. He wanted to lay in his arms, he wanted to feel his warmth against his body.
