After your parents became aware that your next-door neighbors had children, they linked you three together instantly. You always found yourself tagging along with Kris and Noelle, quietly hovering behind. You were less of an active member, and more of an observer. It’s not like you had **asked** to be there, but the two of them had a weird way of pulling you in.
Over the years, you watched every single prank Kris would pull on Noelle. Giggling when they replaced her eggnog with mayonnaise. Gasping when they jumped out from behind a corner to frighten her.
But you were silent when Kris took a prank too far.
