Spencer Reid knows Aaron Hotchner.
It’s impossible not to, really, with how long and how closely they’ve worked with each other. And one could argue that Spencer also knows the others. Knows that Rossi drinks his coffee black with one sugar, knows that Morgan’s favourite colour is burgundy, knows that Garcia’s favourite Taylor Swift album is “Lover”, knows that JJ prefers sudoku over crosswords and that Prentiss likes to sleep with two blankets even in summer for the comfort of the added weight. Spencer arguably knows all of them, not least because he has a hard time forgetting stuff.
But Spencer knows Aaron Hotchner
Or: The sun is hot, the sky is blue and Spencer's in love with Hotch, all facts of life. But maybe, just maybe, Aaron Hotchner is just as in love.

Summary
Wade is—to no one’s surprise—a very prideful individual, and Peter is nothing if not up to the challenge. So, as one could imagine, having two people who don’t know when to quit leads them into very outlandish predicaments, whether it be a pumpkin-carving competition, a board game that goes on for fifteen rounds, or even a bet that lasts for over a week.
“Hm?”
Wade’s large frame cages Peter from behind. His arms are on either side of the slimmer man, and the gravel in his voice flows into Peter’s ear. Peter feels himself on the verge of relaxing into the warmth radiating from Wade and responding before he reminds himself.
I can’t. I can’t. I can’t.
Peter focuses on the coolness of the counter beneath his fingertips as Wade leans closer, leaving just enough space, asking for Peter to be the first to make contact.
“I miss hearing you.”
Or: Wade bet that Peter couldn't shut up. Peter bet that Wade couldn't keep his hands to himself. A thousand dollars and two stubborn men's pride on the line.

Summary
Recently, Peter has been genuinely considering telling Wade who he is out of the suit. The thought doesn’t scare him as much as he thought it would. When his aunt May passed away a few years ago, Deadpool was there for him through it all. He took Peter’s patrols when he was too depressed to, gave Peter space when he needed it, invaded it when necessary, and let Peter crash at his for a few months. Those few months were enough to make Peter realize that he trusted Deadpool wholeheartedly.
There is something holding Peter back, though.
It’s that Peter’s current life is just kind of pathetic, and Peter doesn’t want Deadpool seeing him that way. Deadpool likes to theorize about what Peter does for work, since he’s “So smart for a smartass”. Oftentimes, what he guesses are way above what Peter could possibly achieve at the moment. He also thinks that Peter lives in a nice apartment somewhere uptown. Something with lots of sunlight and expensive furniture. All of these scenarios were wrong, of course. They couldn’t be further from the truth if they tried. So, he'll hold off on telling Deadpool who he is until Peter gets his life together.
That is until Deadpool crashed into Peter Parker's life unexpectedly.

Making an extremely undignified, unmanly noise, Peter jumps back. Even still, his hand clings, involuntarily stuck – something that happened a lot when he first got his powers, but hasn’t in years. It makes a familiar but ancient panic swell in his throat, and he immediately tries to tug it back to his body. It doesn't budge, so after a few more frantic yanks he anxiously resigns himself to his current position.
Nervously, he glances around, then asks, “What was that?”
And then, again:
Peter
It’s certainly not a thought that comes from Peter, but it feels close, like it could be a thought that comes from him, like something nestled into the shell of his skull and started whispering manipulations against his brain.
