Summary
Uzi was aware that her father would not say or do anything like what was shown in her nightmares. She knew Khan Doorman was trying to be a better father and person. But her current half-destroyed mental health and the severely traumatizing events she had experienced in the last month led her subconscious to create scenarios as unrealistic but harmful as those.
Even though her mind wasn’t doing all this by itself. Something else was behind it all.And yet, the dream repeated itself over and over again, night after night, making her question absolutely everything and her from sleeping and resting properly again. Because, if she was honest, it all felt too real; the bangs, the sounds, the screams, the tremors of her weakened body, the fear and anguish of not being able to move, or do anything actually, even if she wanted to. It was horrible.
It would be better if she didn't sleep at all, that way she wouldn't be in that scenario again or deal with that damn nightmare anymore. She didn't want to sleep anymore, and she would never sleep again.
Or: Uzi has repeating nightmares that haunt her even when she's awake, so she decides to not sleep at all and avoid reality instead. But N is there to help.
