Summary
The working title for this fic was “5 times Shen Tunan babied Wei Ruolai (and 1 time Ruolai babied him back)” but it quickly became apparent that this was not really accurate and idk what we’re doing here.
Could also be 854139 times Tunan tucks Ruolai into bed, apparently? But I think is sort of more loosely about all the times they carried each other throughout multiple missing moments of canon; hence, the fic title.

As the men drag off the protesting deputy director, Ruolai only watches his xiansheng watch the spectacle. His outrage at the man's corruption seemed real, his anger seemed real, and yet his affable confidence as he addresses the shocked guests is enough to elicit claps and cheers when the music starts.
Ruolai can't take his eyes off him.
