Patrick hated the bite mark on Art’s neck.
The twin rows of teeth imprinted in pale thin skin forever. Chemical removal cost hundreds, thousands, but Patrick would sell a limb and a kidney if that meant he never had to see it again.
It made him feel pathetic. Loser. Idiot. Losing again and again—the match was done, everyone had gone home, but he was still there, swinging, again and again.
