Summary
“Dude, I just asked if you could get my food, not another-“ Matt finally got around to seeing the man on the floor. “What is Aaron doing?”
“I don’t think this is Aaron.” Neil stated. Matt had a transfer sheet ready, dropping to the floor with Neil, carefully sliding the transfer underneath the man.
“Then who do we have?” That was a great question, but he didn’t get there yet with Aaron’s doppelgänger, so Neil just ranted about what he knew.
“Male, mid twenties, possible head trauma,” Neil said quickly. “Unequal pupils, responsive briefly, he felt tachy, then syncopal episode plus a possible fracture of the clavicle.”
Or: Neil is in the second year of his residency, working in the Emergency Room. Today was just like any other until a man who looked extremely like an asshole co-worker of his decided to pass out in the waiting room.

Summary
Neil channels all of his energy into looking incredibly unbothered, like getting caught crashing a wedding by the groom’s twin-slash-best man was all part of his grand plan.
The other man breaks the silence first. “Who are you?”
Stubbornly, Neil keeps his ass planted on the ground while he racks his brain for the bride’s name. Kate? Kathryn? Katie? Oh, right—“I’m Katelyn’s cousin.”
The best man tilts his head, observes Neil, and says, “No, try again.”
Fuck.
*
Neil is no stranger to crashing weddings. This one would've been a walk in the park, if not for the groom’s twin getting in his way.

Summary
Andrew gestures back at the house where their friends are starting to say goodnight to each other. “Dan and Matt. Aaron and Kate. They get marriages. We’d have a partnership, like we’re rival CEOs at a corporation or something. I don’t want you to be my partner. I want you to be my husband.”
“I would marry you,” Neil admits softly. Barely above a whisper. “If you’re asking.”
It's July 2015, and gay marriage is legal. In a series of snapshots, Andrew and Neil allow themselves to want what they thought they couldn't have.
