the white flames spread all across the platform, moving between the bodies like a swarm of snakes. it took just a second before they all merged again into one large mass of sizzling fire. and like a hunting dog that caught a trail of its prey, it moved across the platform directly towards hanbin, closing up around his legs.
a cold sensation spread through his body as the flames lashed at his ankles, climbing higher and higher with each second. staring down at the flames that were now reaching his knees, hanbin couldn’t move, petrified. with one single tear running down his face, it dawned on him that he was going to die.
“it’s going to be alright,” hanbin could see hao's lips move through the white pale fire before his whole body was fully covered by the cold flames.
