Katsuki knew what he was doing was stupid. Sneaking around, brushing off the extras he reluctantly called his friends, and participating in an underground fighting ring as a Pro Hero was absolutely a bad idea, and definitely one of his most unhealthy coping mechanisms.
But he needed it. The adrenaline from fighting with no holds barred after his hellish first year as a hero student, the thrill in fighting to win without dealing with ‘proper protocol,’ and, most importantly, the freeing feeling of being alive.
And then Aizawa caught him. And it started something he would have never expected.
