Summary
He wants to say something, but he can’t. His voice’s stuck in his throat. It worsens when Suguru opens his eyes again—barely, but he still does. He directly looks at him and smiles so sincerely—so softly—that it feels like a slap. It leaves him motionless, and Satoru thinks that the look Suguru’s giving him makes him unable to breathe for a second. His eyes glint with emotions that Satoru can’t name, can’t fully understand—or refuses to understand. However, the one thing that immediately strikes him is those unspoken words that linger in his eyes; kill me.
Suguru’s death leaves Satoru in a whirlwind of emotions that he doesn’t have any control over. He can’t contain them, can’t subdue them. So he lets himself drown on his pain, his sorrow, his grief. He keeps drowning, drowning, and drowning again.
