Summary
We have all read the fic where Will and Hannibal are married before the start of the show / during season one. But what if Hannibal had married Alana? Will and Alana are still attracted to each other, but obviously nothing will come from it: Alana is married after all. A commitment she would never break, even if things between her and Hannibal are not as passionate as they once were. A commitment Will respects.
