    Summary

There he was: sitting splay-legged on the altar, one muddy combat boot propped up on the edge, with a self-satisfied grin on his face and a relaxed aura, in spite of the war raging outside.

Izuku wasn’t sure what he’d expected to see his first day evacuating humans from the Rapture zone, but it sure as hell wasn’t a Demon with the same goal.

A story about falling, in more ways than one.

Things were weird in Hawkins. The fields were rotting, there was something in the woods, and Steve Harrington's Beemer had a new problem every week.

    Bookmarker's Notes

This piece of literature may not be complete at the time that I am publishing it in my recommendations but I do not care. It’s truly exquisite and I’m frankly in love with every chapter. The miscommunications, the realism of the story legitimately taking place in a small Indiana town so connections that ship writers usually make aren’t as likely, etc. Eddie’s point of view is difficult to write in since we’ve only been given 20 or so minutes of screen time with him in the show. But wow, this author fleshes his character out wondrously.

    Summary

    June 1986
    Steve is lonely.

He’s always been lonely, honestly. An empty house, absent parents, friends that didn’t really know him. Frankly, he probably doesn’t really know himself, either. It used to be easier to ignore—between sports and parties and searching for the next girl to hang around with.

Then Nancy Wheeler told him he was bullshit. In the wreckage of the storm, he realized she probably hadn’t been that off base to call his life bullshit.

[Life in Hawkins, Indiana is boring, ordinary, no supernatural entities. Steve still changes.

Luckily, he still makes some new friends, too. Certain people are simply meant to be in the same story.]

    Bookmarker's Notes

This fiction is immaculate. Like the creator states in the final author’s note, this format allows the characters to expand and grow. You see so much more of them and it is truly immaculate. Rather domestic, too. In any case, props. A toast to Leave the Light On Sometimes All Night.
