Summary
It’s a strange feeling. Killing commies and liking it a little too much—beyond the professional satisfaction of a job well done for God and country, or even the base, primitive thrill of eliminating something that might otherwise eliminate him—is no crime: his nation has been grooming him for just that task since the day he was born. Hell, he is barely older than the Cold War itself. He’s just never been this inefficient about his duties before.

Summary
“Give me your hand,” Adler says, flat as the Delta.
Bell blinks at him. He skids past the stupid impulse to ask What? and instead says, “You could just grab it.” If a smile ghosts over Adler’s features at how dumbly obvious that statement is, Bell fails to catch it. He knows better, of course: obedience is the point. Rather than wait for Adler to restate his order, he holds out his right hand. The color of the tablecloth is not far off from butcher paper. His hand lies palm-up, fingers and wrist tendons visibly relaxed. Adler takes a final drag of his cigarette and Bell knows what he’s going to do.

Summary
While naloxone is generally considered safe and effective, one of the most common risks regarding naloxone administration is precipitation of abrupt onset opioid withdrawal in those who are physically dependent on opioids (Evans et al. 1973; Loimer et al. 1992; Wikler et al. 1953).
