In 1993, Isla Pena, which had never been populated by humans, was officially abandoned by InGen. It had previously been used as a dumping ground for the Jurassic Park rejects, the unstable clones.
In 2025, a crew is formed, with the goal of going to the now strictly off-limits Isla Sorna to collect DNA samples and develop a cure for heart disease. When they veer off course to save a family in danger and are attacked by a Mosasaurus, they are forced to abandon ship and wash up on Isla Pena. With no known dinosaur activity on the island, they have nothing to worry about, right?
