Summary
After the battle with Gaea, Nico finally decides to give Camp Half-Blood one more shot. Every time before this, he's ended up running away, but for some reason this time feels different. And it certainly helps that there's a certain sunny blond boy that seems determined to make sure Nico stays.
Will has noticed Nico pop in and out of camp over the years, and has always wanted to get to know him better. Now, it looks like he finally has his chance. And now that the war is over and peace is waiting just over the horizon for the first time in years, what better opportunity is there?
Still, Will can't shake the feeling that something bad is about to happen. And Nico isn't as healed from his past as he'd like people to think.
With the resurfacing of the Labyrinth and old enemies seeking vengeance, that fall at camp is anything but uneventful. And through it all, Nico and Will find themselves developing a much deeper bond with each other than they had ever expected. What will happen between the two of them, and how do they navigate the waters of their...acquaintanceship? Friendship? Or is it...something more?

Inspired by that part in The Sun and the Star where it is confirmed that Will found Nico endearing even before their interactions in Blood of Olympus (but Nico was always mean to everyone then).
