Summary
Stranger Things Season 5 is rewritten from the start- changing the many, many errors that many believe the Duffers made with the finale season of the series- namely, Byler. I've basically written a of season 5, but Byler and Stancy happen, and a few other things are tweaked.
Vecna's wrath is looming over Hawkins. The desolate town's once bustling streets are now hollow, the world torn in half by the 'earthquake' that shook Indiana in 1986. Will Byers, one of the few residents left in town, is struggling with an inescapable crush on his best friend, Mike Wheeler. As the world is falling apart around them- left up to only their friends and family to fix- they are undeniably falling in love. However, they aren't the only two lovers amidst the dying world of the Upside Down. Nancy Wheeler, Mike's older sister, faces a difficult choice as she watches Steve Harrington and Jonathan Byers fight for her attention. While she has feelings for both, she can only choose one- but it's difficult to focus on the joys of a relationship when you have to battle a being more powerful than you've ever faced before. But, if Richie's being completely honest, this moment right here, seeing Frankie on his very first actual show, after passing rounds of auditions with incredible feedback from the casting directors, is one of the moments where Richie feels the most proud of his son.
He never thought, back when he and Eddie got together, that he and Frankie would have this together — he'd just been hoping that the kid would at least like him enough to be okay with him dating his father, especially after a shitty divorce.
But this, seeing his son flourish and look so goddamn proud of himself — seeing a light shine in Frankie's eyes that has been absent these past few weeks — brings a sense of pride and accomplishment that's so strong, all Richie wants to do is fucking scream from the top of his lungs that this is his boy, this is his son, newcomer Frankie Kaspbrak — ready to take Hollywood by storm, if he so dares!

Richie is infinitely proud to call Frankie Kaspbrak his son, despite the lingering shadow of Derry 2.0.
