Maybe he was Rui in his first life, he thought as he finished the last bit of his violin piece, drawing out the final note with a haunting echo. That must have been the life in which he and Tsukasa first met, since he still knew the other as Tsukasa after all these years. That must have been the life where they first fell in love and swore themselves under the stars.
That must have been the life where they were declared soulmates who would meet again and again, reuniting like two pieces of the universe that were always meant to find each other.
Rui and Tsukasa meet in every single lifetime. Tsukasa doesn't seem to know.
