He told himself he’d just close his eyes for a moment. Just a moment to steady his breathing, to gather himself. Maybe if he woke up to daylight and silence, it wouldn’t feel like his world was tilted completely sideways.
Seongje’s lashes fluttered shut. His breathing slowed, his muscles finally giving in. The heaviness in his limbs pulled him under.
For a little while it was easy to believe there was nothing wrong at all.
