Summary
Hermione Granger has returned to Hogwarts for her eighth year, while Harry and Ron have joined the auror training program. Uncertain of her place in the post-war wizarding world, Hermione struggles with her image as the Brightest Witch of Her Age. Expectations of bravery and perfection are difficult to maintain when she’s currently paranoid of her own shadow. Finding solutions in unexpected places, she starts to believe in herself again. Cassius Warrington, now Professor Warrington, wasn’t able to fight during the war, pulled away for reasons outside of his control. Now he’s back in the UK and not only the newest, but also the youngest Transfiguration professor in a century. A pureblood heir to a noble house, his re-arrival on the scene has betrothal proposals flooding his post. He has good looks and a good reputation, plus a brilliant mind. After meeting her, there’s only one witch he wants, but isn’t expecting for his plan to win her to begin ahead of schedule.
