Chris pulled out his wallet, counting bills under his breath. He throws two hundred dollars on the counter between the three of you.
“You have got to be kid- Chris, no,” Ads is pushing the bills back towards him. “You cannot be this pathetic!”
You, however, are that pathetic. You have no idea what they are talking about, but you pick up the bills and count them as well. An even two hundred. “I don’t want your charity.”
“Oh, this is not charity, trust me,” Chris leers, and you smack his arm. “Emilia agreed to go out with me, but only if I could get someone to date Adrian.”
“Who is Adrian?” You ask, because this is your fucking life now.
“The nerdy kid that follows me around everywhere.”
“Is he the one who got kicked out of the after-hours buddy system on campus because he turned an attempted robber into a dental reconstruction project?”
