Luther watched Randal grow up. He held his hand, healed his scratches, listened to his nonsensical questions in the dark. He was always there—the silent center of a world that only made sense when his little brother was around.
But Randal grew up. And now he smiles at someone else.
Luther tells himself it's alright. That it's just pride. That the warmth in his chest is happiness at seeing his brother happy.
He lies very well.
Just not well enough to fool himself.
