Summary
Ravi Panikkar didn’t believe in curses. Not really. He believed in probability - in statistics - in the way bad things sometimes clustered together because the human brain was excellent at finding patterns where none existed.
He believed in muscle memory and training and protocols drilled deep enough that they carried you through even when your hands shook.
What he didn’t believe was the idea that the universe had woken up one morning, looked directly at him, and decided to make him its problem.
And yet this whole week seemed to prove him otherwise.

Summary
The DJ handed each of them a microphone. “New Year’s Eve duet” he declared, “Lyrics will be on the screen. Good luck, don’t mess it up.” Eddie’s head snapped up at the statement and he sent the stranger in front of him a panicked look.
He responded with, what Eddie would love to think was a clumsy attempt at a reassuring smile. It made his heart soar.
“Hey” he whispered “It’ll be okay. I’m terrible at this too.”

Summary
Buck gets home on an ordinary Tuesday evening, after a long and grueling shift that had him dead on his feet and a goal to crash into the couch as fast as possible, only to be met with Eddie sprawled on top of it, a tiny curled up furball on his chest, right underneath his chin.
The slight frown Buck is sporting between his eyebrows all but disappears the moment he lays his eyes on the image in front of him, taking it all in. Eddie’s mouth is curved up in a playful smile, pointing a finger at the little kitten who just opened its eyes, green and shiny, looking at Buck with a scowl… a scowl? Since when can cats scowl?
“Welcome home, Buck. Meet Luna.”
Or: Eddie's new kitten isn't too fond of Buck, so he tries everything in his powers to get closer to her while also navigating his new found feelings for his best friend.
