Summary
“Iwa-chan?” Oikawa blinked, pulling his face into his hands and smiling his signature, lopsided grin, the one Iwaizumi wanted to kiss him through, pull moans out of, wrap around his length and suck his soul into.
Iwaizumi leapt from the bench and roughly dropped Oikawa to the ground, a hurried apology tossed over his shoulder as he sprinted back to his dorm. He dove into a cold shower until his nerves settled before climbing into bed, ignoring his phone blowing up by Oikawa and responding to Hanamaki that he was fine, that he just needed some time to think.
About that ass tho wwwww, Hanamaki replied.
I hope you die, Iwaizumi sent, and turned his phone off.
That was the first night Iwaizumi touched himself to the thought of Oikawa.

Summary
Close enough, Oikawa smiles, sputtering a laugh as he imagines the way Iwaizumi’s face screws up. “It’s only normal that distance makes people grow apart, Iwa-chan.”
“And absence makes the heart grow fonder, or…something like that.”
Oikawa’s resistance folds like paper, his head turning to look at Iwaizumi, whose eyes are still trained on the ceiling. “You never answered my question.”
“Because it’s a stupid question,” Iwaizumi slides his eyes shut, “you’ve been asking a lot of those recently.”
“So mean, Iwa-chan,” Oikawa responds with no weight, reaching to lace their fingers together, “why can’t you just tell me you’ll miss me?”
It takes Iwaizumi a moment to respond to that one. “What would it change, if I did?”

Summary
One: Iwaizumi’s competitive edge was not going to let him back down from this challenge, which meant he was going to do his absolute best to prove that he was a manager that Oikawa was going to hate to lose.
Two: He was going to have to get some kind of drink carrier for his bike, and prepare to rack up a massive amount of points at the coffee shop.
Three: Despite the man’s unworldly beauty and ability to dazzle Iwaizumi into a tailspin, he absolutely, positively, without a shadow of a doubt, cannot stand Oikawa Tooru.

Or, the end of everything comes like this: the Kaiju rising from the endless depths of ocean, the man-made gods charging through the waters to get to them, and Iwaizumi in his head saying, I’m in love with you.
