Summary
Vi wasn't quick enough to get away when Jayce's apartment exploded. Waking up in the rubble of the building was not what she expected. Nor did she expect to pass out again only to be caught by Jayce.
Basically Vi gets adopted by Jayce and Mel. And despite her struggles, neither of them are willing to let her go back to the streets. Not when they find themselves so attached to the little girl with fear in her eyes and an attitude of someone much older. It's a struggle to break down her walls but neither of them are willing to give up. Not on their Violet.

Summary
Mel Medarda knows her boyfriends like to fuck with magic, and ever since they returned from the Arcane they have been acting strangely. Soon enough, Mel discovers they have been working on a new experiment, a dimension portal. Because she is an orphan and does not want to run the House Medarda, she volunteers to be the first human to test it. She walks through and finds... the same world but different. More magic, more monsters, more might, and a family she had longed for when she was a child, as weird as it might be.
How does one confront the idea that if your mother opened up to love and weakness, she would become stronger, and maybe be able to love you in the way you needed?
