The hospital room wasn’t quite desolate, but it also wasn’t abundant with life. Lee Gilyoung stood next to the bed with hunched shoulders. His hands gripped into the clean sheets that were laid over Kim Dokja.
Boxes of Valentine’s chocolates and candies were strewn on the table, unopened. Get-well-soon cards and messages were left unread and in disarray. Birthday gifts weren't laid out yet, but that was because no one else aside from Lee Gilyoung had shown up so early.
