A lie. His joints still ache, his thoughts still churn, his head is unbearably heavy. But he can’t stay.
“Thank you for the meal, your cooking was okay.”
Another lie. The warmth still lingers on his tongue, comforting in ways he’ll never admit.

The biggest lie of all. He isn’t sure when– or if– he’ll return.
Are you satisfied? With this meaningless relationship, you can only have this much. Are you satisfied?

Like ice-flavored lollipops, enough to fill the void for a moment yet never lingering for a second more. There for you to indulge at any time yet never to keep around for long. Fleeting comfort to fill the moment yet evermore emptiness right after. You can only have this much, are you sure you’re satisfied?
Is it the spoiled youngest child in him, or does his field of gravity naturally pull towards a certain blond who seems to bring sunshine to the heaviest clouded beaches?
