Of course Bakugo had lost, which was utter bullshit, but not something he planned on dying over. He could handle losing. What he couldn’t handle, what got under his skin in the worst way, was the look on Sero’s face when it happened. That lazy, lopsided grin, stretched wide as he pointed across the table like he’d just won something life-changing.
“Sleepover in your room,” he said, like it was nothing. “That’s the deal.”
Bakugo had stared at him, silent, unmoving, the only giveaway of his rage a sharp tick at the edge of his jaw. “The hell do you need a sleepover for? You five?”
Sero didn’t even blink. “Nope. But you lost. Gotta honor the game.” He leaned back further, limbs long and loose, smugness practically dripping from every word. “I’m already packed.”
