Summary
“Congratulations,” Kaveh’s body – Alhaitham – says dryly, the smooth, sarcastic tone sounding odd in Kaveh’s voice. “You’ve helped me figure out what the artifact does. Unfortunately, it now appears to be broken.”
Kaveh struggles to his feet as Alhaitham gestures to the artifact. It lies on the floor, cracked and bent, and Kaveh winces. “Great. And now we have another problem. I’d like my own body back, Alhaitham.”
Alhaitham frowns. “I would appreciate the same. It’s very hard to breathe in your body. I’m concerned your ribs might be broken.”
Alhaitham brings a supposedly safe artifact home that ends up swapping his and Kaveh's bodies, and they discover some things about each other. Or: a t4t haikavetham bodyswap one-shot featuring Kaveh not binding safely and Alhaitham now having to deal with the consequences of that.

He frowned at his face.

“You like that?” Avery swallows, pupils dilated to the max with more black than the light green with golden specks Derek had grown used to. “I'd do anything for you,” Avery’s hands grope up Derek's hips, fingers teasing the hem of Derek's sweater, his voice privy to just them.
He laughs breathlessly, nosing his face into Derek's nape, “I don't even know why, fucking- hah- you drive me crazy and I—” Derek's fingers glide up Avery's chest, the long, nimble digits still shaking from their shared adrenaline, “—fuck. I'd do anything.”
Maybe Avery is still feeling the high of watching the body's life slip away from between his fingers. Watching as its wheezing last breaths slowed to a stop, and the feel of its organs twitching beneath his touch when he tried shoving them back into its body cavity—too much of a mess.

Summary
Now that it was New Year’s Eve, Derek’s family had driven about an hour and a half to Avery’s house to celebrate their annual New Year’s Eve celebration, where both families would come together at Avery’s house.
Both of their parents would chat outside the yard, while their little siblings sat in the living room playing Overcooked. It was this same routine they’ve had when the tradition was established about 6 years ago.
Avery had invited Derek to play chess upstairs in his room. And for some reason, they had ended up cuddling on the bedroom floor.

In which Derek gets out alive, losing his infinite knowledge, but at a cost. Avery, in his mind, battles against the king to take control of his mind back. His physical body is left to act as a vessel waiting for its host.
Derek must find a way to bring Avery back.
