May 10, 2026: It’s Shane’s 35th birthday. It’s also midway through the playoffs.
Shane’s birthday is always during the Cup finals – either he’s playing, and focusing on that, or his team is out, and he’s mad about it.
This fic takes place five years into Shane’s career with the Centaurs (they’re in their fifth playoff appearance, naturally!, and with a couple Cups under their belts). For the first few years of their marriage, Ilya went along with Shane’s low-key approach to his mid-playoffs birthday, but for his 35th, he thinks Shane deserves a bit more celebrating…
